Microsoft Sells Stake In Nook

Microsoft Corp. has sold its stake in electronic book device maker Nook Media LLC, back to partner Barnes & Noble, Barnes & Noble said Thursday, in a deal worth $125M in cash and stock. Microsoft had owned 16.8 percent of Nook Media. Microsoft had paid $300M in 2012 for the stake in Barnes & Noble's e-book business, with an agreement to invest a total of $605M in the business through 2017.
