Microsoft, Dropbox Connect Via Office Integration
Microsoft has taken a step to make the company's flagship Microsoft Office software more connected with the cloud, announcing with Dropbox today that the two are working together to let users directly access Dropbox from Office. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The two said the move will let users edit office files from the Dropbox mobile app, sync changes across devices, and also automatically save Office documents directly into Dropbox. The two said the new features will roll out in Dropbox's software for iOS and Android in the next few weeks, with integration into Office Online, Windows Phone, and Windows tablets in the coming months.
