thePlatform Names New VPs

Seattle-based video publishing software developer thePlatform--which is owned by Comcast--said today that it has named several new VPs. The company said it named Michael Kurtzman as Vice President of Sales for the Americas, and Jouari Santiago has joined thePlatform as Director of Sales for Latin America. Kurtzman joins the company from projekt202, and also has served at iLoop Mobile, eleca, Sybase 365, Marconi, and GTE. Santiago has previously served at Shaw Communications and Canwest Publishing. thePlatform develops white label software used by media companies to publish their videos online; the company's long list of customers include A+E, Cablevision, CBS, Comcast, E!, Fox Sports, HIT entertainment, NBC Sports, Oxygen, USA and many, many others.
