Amazon Takes On Kids Publishing
Seattle-based Amazon.com has launched a new effort to help children's book authors publish books on the Kindle, via a new tool called Kindle Kids' Book Creator. According to Amazon, the new tool lets those authors create illustrated children's books which take advantage of the Kindle's various features, like text pop-ups. The tool also helps authors publish their books to Amazon.com. Amazon said the program lets authors earn royalties of up to 70% on sales of their children's books.
