Microsoft's Ballmer Steps Down From Board
Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, said Tuesday that he is stepping down from Microsoft's board, to devote more time to his new basketball team, the Clippers, as well as civic contributions, teaching and study. The move comes as Ballmer approaches six months from his retirement from Microsoft, and is not an unexpected move. Ballmer cited his "new commitments", particularly teaching a class and a the NBA season, for the timing of the move.
