Ray Ozzie Steps Down At Microsoft

Ray Ozzie, Microsoft's Chief Software Architect, is stepping down from his position, but will remain at the firm, according to an email from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer that was released to the press Monday afternoon. According to the email, Ozzie will remain with the company and will work on "ongoing strategic projects" within his organization, particularly in the "broader area of entertainment." Microsoft said that Ozzie will continue working on those projects until he retires from Microsoft, but did not give a timeframe for when Ozzie plans to leave the firm.
