thePlatform Sets New CEOs, As Cofounder Steps Back

It's a new era over at Seattle-based video publishing technology and software developer thePlatform, as the company said today that co-founder Ian Blaine is stepping down as CEO, and will become a strategic advisor to the company, on June 20th. According to thePlatform--whose white-label, video publishing tools are used by media publishers to stream their videos to the web--said that Marty Roberts and Jamie Miller have been appointed co-CEOs of the company. Miller was COO and CFO of thePlatform, and Roberts was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at the company. thePlatform is owned by Comcast. In explaining the move, Blaine said he has "spent a third of my life" on thePLatform, and that he wants to make the transition "on a high note." Comcast acquired ThePlatform back in 2006.
