Viewpoint Construction Software Gets Investment From Bain Capital

Portland-based Viewpoint Construction Software, a developer of software for the construction industry, said today that it has received a major growth equity investment from Bain Capital. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed. Viewpoint Construction Software said that, as part of the deal, private equity firms Updata Partners and TA Associates are selling off their stake in the company. Viewpoint will continue to be headed by Jay Haladay, the company's Chairman and CEO. The companies said that Credit Suisse, Canaccord Genuity, and Goodwin Procter advised Viewpoint in the deal, with Bain Capital was advised by Wells Fargo and Kirkland & Ellis.
