Amazon: We're Bigger Than Hulu, Apple In Streaming Video

Seattle-based Amazon.com is bragging today that the number of video streams on Prime Instant Video increased over the last year, putting it ahead of both Hulu and Apple in streaming video usage. Amazon--citing numbers from online video usage tracking provider Qwilt--its video streams nearly tripled last year, passing both Apple and Hulu. Amazon attributed the growth to the "hundreds of millions" it has spent for TV shows and movies for its Prime members. Amazon did not release any of the specific numbers on its video growth.
