Amazon Testing $7.99 Per Month Subscription For Amazon Prime
Amazon.com is testing a $7.99 per month subscription option for its Amazon Prime service, in the first move by the company to a monthly option for the service. Amazon Prime, which offers up free shipping and video streaming of content, normally costs $79 per year. The price point matches that of Netflix and Hulu Plus, two competing video streaming services. The pricing experiment was first uncovered by the blog Hacking Netflix.
