Microsoft, Dell In Patent Accord
Redmond-based Microsoft and computer maker Dell said Wednesday that the two are in a new, patent licensing deal, which will let the two share technology and "build on each other's innovations." Financial terms of the arrangement were not announced, however, the two said the agreement calls for Dell to pay royalties on products running Android or Chrome Platforms, and on consideration to Dell for a license for Xbox gaming consoles. The deal covers intellectual property related to Android, Chrome OS, and Xbox gaming consoles.
