AssureStart Starts Offering Up Insurance In Washington

Seattle-based AssureStart, the developer of an online marketplace for general liability and property insurance for small businesses, said this morning that it has started offering up those policies in Washington. The company--which is backed by insurer American Family Mutual Insurance--said it is targeting what it says is an "underserved" and overlooked segment of the market: small and medium sized businesses. The company recently officially announced a new headquarters here, although the company has been tapping into Seattle's technical base to help develop its software since last year at the location.
