AssureStart Sets Up In Seattle

AssureStart, a startup which is offering up online quotes on property and liability insurance for small businesses, said late Wednesday that it has set up headquarters in Seattle, in Pioneer Square. The startup--which says it is backed by American Family Mutual Insurance Company--targets small businesses with its insurance products. The company says it has 19 employees in Seattle, where it will set up at 411 First Avenue South. The company is led by Mike LaRocco, formerly of Firemen's Fund Insurance Company, GEICO, Safeco, and Progressive. The company actually has been at the location since at least last year, when it started offering its policies in Texas.
