WTIA Buys NWEN

In a merger of two of Washington's most active nonprofits focused on the technology industry here, the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) said it has acquired the Northwest Entrepreneur Network (NWEN). Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Both groups are non-profits focused on networking, events, education, and mentoring for the local technology companies and entrepreneurs. The move comes after NWEN ran into issues, losing its executive director and staff and seeking to restructure the group. the WTIA said it will continue the NWEN's First Look Forum and Entrepreneur University programs.
