Pacific Northwest Slips To $136.68M In Investments In Q3

Venture capital totals for Washington and Oregon totaled around $136.68M, according to the latest MoneyTree Venture Capital Report numbers released by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the National Venture Capital Association, and Thomson Reuters last night. The investment totals were down from Q2 of this year, when $222.8M was invested in the region, and were below even Q3 of 2012, when $194.7M was invested across the region. The report tallied 24 deals worth a total of $110.2M in Washington, and 10 deals worth a total of $26.45M in Oregon.

The region's venture capital performance was at odds with the overall, nationwide venture investment trend, which saw a 12 percent rise in terms of dollars from last quarter, and an increase 5 percent in the number of deals; nationally, venture capitalists invested $7.8 billion across 1,005 deals.
