UIEvolution Powering Toyota, Lexus Vehicle Systems

Seattle-based UIEvolution, which provides software for extending mobile applications to connected devices, smart televisions, and automobiles, has inked a deal with Toyota and Lexus, the company said today. UIEvolution said Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. has extended and expanded the partnership with the firm. UIEvolution's software is being used to run Toyota's in-vehicle multimedia system, Toyota Entune App Suite, and Lexu Enform App Suite, the in-vehicle multimedia system for Lexus. Financial details of the deal were not announced, and specifics of the extended relationship were not announced. Entune's software enables the interface between drivers and vehicle information, third party apps (Facebook, Yelp, Pandora, OpenTable, etc.), and entertainment on those systems.
