Honeywell Gets Nod On Intermec Acquisition
The big acquisition of Everett, Washington-based Intermec has received a nod from the Federal Trade Commission, according to Intermec and Honeywell, after they were granted an early termination of the normal waiting period on acquisitions. Honeywell announced its deal to acquire Intermec back in December of 2012. The deal is worth $600M. The two said they now expect the merger to close on Tuesday, September 17th. Intermec is a developer of data capture hardware, bar code scanners, RFID products, thermal printers, and much more for the industrial market.
