Amazon Looks To Boost Hiring
Seattle-based Amazon.com said over the weekend that it is in a big hiring push, and is looking to hire more than 5,000 new full time jobs across its fulfillment network. Amazon.com claimed that its median pay is 30 percent higher than the pay of traditional, retail workers, and that it also includes such benefits as healthcare, 401(k) and company stock awards. Amazon did not say which fulfillment centers it is hiring the most for, however, did say it now has over 20,000 full time employees at those centers, which help ship out products to Amazon customers.
