NW Social Venture Fund Aims At Social Impact, Entrepreneurship

How can you use the principles of startup acceleration and entrepreneurship to help make the world better? Portland-based startup accelerator and investment fund NW Social Venture Fund's mission is just that: to help support philanthropic efforts with a positive social impact. The fund says it has invested more that $1.4 million in the Portland metro area to support nonprofits. The fund recently was highlighted at the Small Business Administration's National Accelerator Pitch Day, which highlighted accelerator efforts across the country. The fund said it was only one of 16 organizations which were selected to compete at the event. The NWSVF was founded by entrepreneur Carolynn DUncan.
