Clearwire Acquisition By Sprint Completes

Sprint said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Bellevue-based Clearwire, just short of six months after announcing its acquisition on December 17th of last year. The completion of the acquisition puts to bed a long, drawn out process which saw competing bids from DISH Network, opposition from shareholders, and a final boost in price to $5.00 per share in cash for Clearwire by Sprint. The deal is worth roughly $14 billion.
