WhitePages Buys Mr. Number For Call Blocking App

Seattle-based WhitePages, the online people and business directory search site, has acquired Mr. Number, a call blocking and spam identification app for Android, the company said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. WhitePages.com said the acquisition will further expand its mobile offerings, and provide its users with what it says are the "most robust" caller ID features on the market. WhitePages already has its own caller ID app called Current Caller ID App; it said it will be adding Mr. Number's capabilities into its own app as part of the buy.
