Microsoft Hails Wins Over Google Apps
Redmond-based Microsoft is cheering a number of new customers today, who the company said chose Microsoft Office 365 over Google Apps. Microsoft said that Sensia Halsovard AB, SEPCOIII, FHI 360, and Arysta LifeScience all tried--and switched from Google Apps to its own, cloud-based software, Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft said that Arysta ran into issues with Google Apps with calendar and offline capability; FHI 360 ran into broadband connection issues; and Arysta LifeScience ran into user difficulties with Google Apps. Microsoft has been battling Google on multiple fronts, including on the enterprise software side, where Google's Gmail and Google Apps has been offering up a stiff challenge to Microsoft Exchange and Office.
