Equinix Connects Seattle Into AWS Direct

Data center operator Equinix, the data center operator which recently opened its second Seattle location, announced this morning that it has a direct connection to Amazon Web Service in its Seattle data centers. The firm said that AWS Direct Connect, which allows customers to gain millisecond latency between their infrastructure and AWS, is now available at its data centers in Seattle. The addition of the support means that Equinix now has the service available in six locations around the world. Equinix said the service lets its customers establish their own, private network connection to Amazon's cloud service, which gives them more consistent network performance than the public internet delivers.
