Ignition Re-Ups On Themed Investment Startup
Looking to make it easier to let individuals invest in broad investment "themes", a Silicon Valley startup, Motif Investing said Friday that it has raised a new, $25M round of investment. That investment included prior, Seattle-based investor Ignition Partners, which re-upped on the funding for the online stock brokerage. Moti said its new round came from Goldman Sachs, and also included Foundation Capital, Ignition Partners, and Norwest Venture Partners. The startup lets users invest their money in broad "themes"--"home improvement", "hot retail", "utility bills", etc. in a visual way, through its technology-enabled systems. More information »
