Livemocha Picked Up By Rosetta Stone
Seattle-based online language learning site Livemocha, has been acuqired by Rosetta Stone, the language learning publisher, in a deal worth $8.5M in cash. According to Rosetta Stone, Livemocha will remain in Seattle after the acquisition. Livemocha was venture backed by August Capital and Maveron, and had raised around $19.0M in funding. Rosetta Stone said the move would help it accelerate its transition to cloud-based learning solutions.
