Livemocha In Deal With Travelocity
Seattle-based online language-learning community Livemocha revealed Tuesday that it will offer discounted language courses to customers of Web-based travel agency Travelocity. According to Livemocha, Travelocity.com members can purchase Livemocha's Travel Crash Courses for $29.95. The courses provide 70 hours of instruction for six popular languages, Livemocha said, adding that they also include MP3 audio clips of 500 travel-related words and phrases that help students improve their foreign language skills. Livemocha noted that Travelocity customers will have 90 days to complete the courses, which include Spanish, French, German, Italian and Mandarin Chinese. Travelocity is based in Southlake, Texas, and is a subsidiary of Sabre Holdings Corp. LiveMocha is venture backed by Maveron.
