Livemocha Names Schutzler CEO

Bellevue-based Livemocha, an online site focused on learning languages, announced today that it has hired Michael Schutzler as CEO of the firm. Schutzler was most recently head of business coaching firm CEOSherpa, and also has served as an executive at RealNetworks and Monster.com. He also was CEO of Classmates.com, which he headed from start-up until its sale to United Online in 2004. Livemocha helps people connect with native language speakers, so they can study a foreign language via the Internet. Livemocha said former CEO Shirish Nadkarni becomes Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of the firm.
