Lucid Energy Snags Crowdfunding From Israel
Can your humble water faucet be used as a source of renewable energy? That's the hope of Portland-based Lucid Energy, which just anounced a round of funding from crowdfunding site OurCrowd today. Lucid Energy develops a hydroelectric system which uses the fast flowing water in large-diameter municipal, agricultural and industrial pipelines to generate renewable energy. According to Lucid Energy, it scored funding from Israeli crowdsourcing firm OurCrowd, which links accredited investors with early stage companies. Size of the funding, and source, was not disclosed. Lucid Energy is headed by Gregg Semler. Lucid Energy says its products is already commercially installed in Riverside, California, and is being installed in Portland, Oregon, San Antonio, Texas and Haifa, Israel. More information »
