Airbiquity In Chinese Deal
Seattle-based Airbiquity, which develops automotive connectivity products, said that it has entered into a partnership with China Unicom of Shanghai, to provide telematics services for the Chinese automotive market. Financial aspects of the deal were not disclosed. Airbiquity said it will launch services later this year with China Unicom. Airbiquity said the deal will help auto manufacturers throughout China to implement telematics products, including infotainment and smartphone integration, commercial vehicle fleet services, CRM, and other telematics services. China Unicom provides GSM and WCDMA service throughout China.
