Verdiem Claims Millions In Customer Savings On Energy Bills
Verdiem., the developer of IT energy management software which is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, says that it tallied up more than $50M in energy bills savings for its customers in 2012. The firm said it has more than 700 companies, with over 2.5 million managed devices using its software to reduce energy usage. Verdiem, which is headed by John Scumniotales, develops enterprise software used to automatically set equipment into power save mode when not needed, reducing enterprise IT and energy costs. The company said that it is seeing the most traction in such areas as education, financial services, and healthcare, in particular with the healthcare industry, where the company said it saw 300 percent revenue growth.
