Verdiem Wins Pittsburgh Medical Center
Seattle-based Verdiem has added another customer for the firm's enterprise power management software, SURVEYOR, the firm said Monday afternoon. Verdiem said that the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is deploying the firm's product on more than 30,000 PCs, in an effort to reduce PC power consumption. Verdiem said it estimates more than $1M in annual energy savings from the deployment. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Verdiem said the win came as part of a partnership with local utility Duquesne Light Company, as part of a Pennsylvania initiative to improve energy efficiency in the state.
