thePlatform Debuts New Features

Seattle-based thePlatform, which provides white-label, Internet video publishing tools to companies, said it has launched a new set of features for its product. thePlatform said today that it has added "smart workflow" features to help simplify the preparation of video and publishing across multiple formats and devices. Among the new capabilities are links into cloud, hardware, and software transcoding, with companies such as Elemental, Harmonic, Akamai, Aspera, and others.
