Kimera Systems Buys Smart Places
Portland-based artificial intelligence software developer Kimera Systems announced today that it has has acquired Smart Places, a developer of location and context-aware, mobile social networking apps. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Kimera Systems, which is headed by Mounir Shita, said it is developing artificial intelligence software to help mobile devices anticipate the information and services users need.
