Itron Buys French Energy Software Firm

Liberty Lake-based Itron, the maker of smart meters, said today that it has acquired Asais, a maker of energy information software and service provider headquartered in France. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Asais is a 25 year old firm providing software and online services for the advanced energy information management industry. Itron said it has been partnering with Asais for the past four years on smart metering and smart grid projects across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
