Cray Scoops Up Storage Team

Seattle-based Cray, the supercomputer developer, has just scored itself an entire development team focused on storage interconnects. The company said this morning that it has hired on the key indivudals of SystemFabricWorks (SFW), and has hired a majority of SFW's employees, as part of an agreement with SFW. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Cray said SFW's CEO, Robert (Bob) Pearson, Bill Boast (VP Business Development), and a number of engineers from SFW have joined the company as part of the deal.
