Elemental Wins In Malaysia

Portland-based Elemental Technologies, which develops video transcoding products used to help deliver video to different types of platforms, has scored a win in Malaysia. The firm said that Media Prima in Malaysia has deployed its Elemental Live product to provide live video to Internet and mobile users. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Elemental's technology is used to convert live video into the various formats required by different mobile device users, in real time. Media Prima is the owner of four television stations, three radio stations, three newspapers, and other businesses in Malaysia, and also operates an online digital portal where Elemental's products are being used. elemental is headed by Sam Blackman.
