Former Evri CTO Deep Dhillon Joins Startup

Deep Dhillon, the former CTO of Seattle-based Evri, the developer of real time news and discovery software, has joined a new startup in the health space. According to Alliance Health Networks, the operator of a network of health related social networking sites, Dhillon has joined the company as its Chief Data Scientist. Dhillon had led Evir's development efforts for its semantic content recommendation engine, according to Alliance Health. Dhillon left Evri back in June of 2010, according to his LinkedIn profile, to run his own consulting firm, whose clients apparently included Medify, which was recently acquired by Alliance Health Networks. Alliance is venture backed by New World Ventures, Physic Ventures, Highway 12 Ventures, and EPIC Ventures, and is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
