Evri Reads "Sentiment" Through Web API

Seattle-based Evri, the content discovery and recommendation startup incubated by Vulcan Capital, said this week that it has rolled out a new web application programming interface which allows developers to determine how bloggers, journalists, and others "feel" about people, places, or things. According to Evri, its new sentiment API lets developers find out the percentage of positive or negative opinions on an entity, discover who is criticizing or praising a person, and more. The firm said it hopes developers will use the API for applications in market intelligence, market research, sports and entertainment, brand management, product reviews, and more. Evri is headed by Will Hunsinger.
