TED Takes On Hanauer, But Posts Talk Anyway
It looks like there's one person who won't be invited back to a TED talk anytime soon: Seattle venture capitalist Nick Hanauer. In a scathing post, TED curator Chris Anderson called out Hanauer on his complaints that TED had failed to post his TED talk and was censoring him, saying that Hanauer had staged a "an aggressive online campaign against us" via the National Journal. Anderson posted the talk, but said that it was "explicitly partisan" and that the talk was "flawed," and accused Hanauer of hiring a PR firm to go to the press and accuse the group of censoring him. Hanauer is a venture capitalist at Second Avenue Partners, and was also an early investor in Amazon.com.
