Marchex Names Hanauer As Vice Chairman

Seattle-based Marchex said Thursday that it has appointed Nicholas J. Hanauer as Vice chairman of its board of directors. Hanauer was the founder and chairman of aQuantive, which was acquired by Microsoft in July. Hanauer was also founding investor in Amazon.com, co-founder of Gear.com, and is a partner at venture capital firm Second Avenue Partners, which he co-founded in 2000.
