Second Avenue's Hanauer Steps Into Controversy With TED Talk
Seattle venture capitalist Nick Hanauer, known for his investments in Amazon.com, aQuantive, and other local companies, looks to have -- he's stirred up some controversy over a TED talk he gave at the TED University conference, according to a report. Hanauer apparently stirred up a hornet's nest by arguing that it's the middle class--not the wealthy, like himself--who are the job creators in the country. Hanauer says in his speech: "an ordinary middle-class consumer is far more of a job creator than a capitalist like me."
