Allrecipes.com Upgrades Mobile Apps

Seattle-based food and recipe site Allrecipes.com has upgraded its iPhone and Android app, Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner, the company said MOnday. According to Allrecipes, the updated app now allow cooks to scan grocery barcodes from their smartphone, in order to find recipies and add items to their shopping lists. Allrecipes.com said the new features will help with shopping lists and can also be used to create a "virtual pantry" of items at home. Allrecipes is now part of Meredith Corporation, after being sold in January by Reader's Digest.
