iovation Connects With Phone Authentication Firm
Portland-based iovation, the developer of services which uses a device's electronic fingerprint to help reduce online fraud, has tied with TeleSign, a provider of phone-based authentication services. According to the firm, TeleSign will offer up iovation's ReputationManager 360 solution with TeleSign 2FA, TeleSign Verify and PhoneID. The companies said that the combination will help customers gain a higher level of confidence when deciding whether to accept or reject an online transaction. The companies said that the combined offering uses iovation's ReputationManager 360 service to assess the risk of an online transaction--and if so, then use TeleSign's two-factor authentication service to automatically call or SMS a user to verify their identification. The two did not discuss financial terms of the link.
