Microsoft Wins Asian Online Video Provider

Redmond-based Microsoft and Hong Kong video platform operator Movideo Pty Ltd. said yesterday that they are in a four-year, strategic alliance where Movideo will migrate to Windows Azure. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Movideo provides an online video platform, supporting such media customers as Network Ten in Australia, MNC Group Indonesia, South China Morning Post Hong Kong, Reader’s Digest Singapore and Astro Group Malaysia. Microosft says it is also supporting Movideo in moving its platform from Java to Windows Azure, its cloud computing platform.
