Itron Wins Indonesian Utility

Liberty Lake, Washington-based smart utility meter manufacturer Itron reported today that it has scored a win in Indonesia, in the City of Malang, East Java. Itron said it is supplying its meters with the Indonesian water utility Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum Kota Malang (PDAM). Financial impact of the win was not announced. PDAM Malang serves more than 800,000 people. Itron said the utility is using its product to monitor the utility's distribution network, with particular focus on leak detection and flagging unusual consumption in its network.
