F5 Networks Buys Traffix Systems

Seattle-based F5 Networks has acquired Traffix Systems, a developer of 4G signaling products for the telecom industry, the firm said Monday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Traffix Systems develops hardware which manages IP traffic from mobile data traffic, routed from telecom carriers' 3G and 4G networks. Traffix was based in New Jersey, the UK, and Israel, and was venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners.
