Digimarc, Verance Settle Patent Dispute

Beaverton, Oregon-based Digimarc, the developer of digital watermarking technology, said Tuesday evening that it has resolved all of its disputes with Verance Corporation, over patents and breach of contract. Digimarc said that Verance will pay the firm $8M for amounts due through September 30, 2011, and will pay royalties quarterly to Digimarc. The two said they will file a joint motion to dismiss the various lawsuits between the firms.
