Digimarc Sees Audio Watermarking Deployment

Beaverton, Oregon-based Digimarc, a developer of watermarking technology for the security and digital rights management industry, said today that one of its licensees has shipped a product that incorporates its audio watermark technology. Digimarc said that Verance, which is a licensee of its patent portfolio, has shipped a product that provides audio watermarking for manufacturers of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players. Digimarc said that the development may be material on its earnings depending on the popularity of the new DVD formats.
