TriQuint Advances DARPA Program
Hillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor reports this morning that it has begun work on Phase II of a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) program, which has been worth $12.67M so far to the company. The firm said it has begun the second phase of the program, to develop GaN mixed signal digital and RF ciruits for DARPA, ahead of schedule. The chip technology TriQuint is working on it aimed at creating high dunamic range mixed-circuits for use in the defense and aerospace industry. TriQuint is the prime contractor on the DARPA project; the firm did not disclose the size of the contract for Phase II of the effort.
