Amazon Targets Veterans For Hiring
Seattle-based Amazon.com said today that it is looking to hire "tens of thousands" of veterans for permanent and temporary positions at the company, in its fulfillment network. The online retailer said it is specifically recruiting veterans of the military for its jobs, through a dedicated military talent program. Amazon.com said the jobs include management, safety and corporate operations and hourly roles in picking, packing and shipping/receiving. The online retailer bragged that this morning it had been selected #1 Top Military Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs magazine.
